COLUMBUS – An unidentified man whose body was found inside a Linden home Sunday night is the city’s latest homicide victim.

A caller reported to police that there was a dead body in the house in the 1400 block of Briarwood Avenue at 8:34 p.m., Sgt. Eric Pilya of the Homicide Unit said.
Officers found an open back door and discovered the 27-year-old victim, who appeared to have been shot.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no suspect information early Monday.
This was the 134th homicide of the year in Columbus, Pilya said.
Three other people, including a 15-year-old, were injured in unrelated shootings over the weekend.
The teen was shot when the occupants of a red Chevy Cruze pulled handguns and tried to force him into the vehicle while he was walking home near the intersection of Wadsworth Drive and Easthaven Court on the Southeast Side just before 10:30 p.m. Friday. He was listed in stable condition, police said
A 35-year-old woman was in critical condition after being shot while driving in the 1000 block of Studer Avenue in Driving Park just after 8:10 p.m. Sunday.
UPDATE 10/27/20 9:16 a.m.: The victim in the above incident has died.
A 30-year-old man was in stable condition after being shot twice in the leg while walking along an alley in the 100 block of Eureka Avenue on the West Side Friday night.
