COLUMBUS – Police have not identified human remains found near a South Side quarry Monday morning.

Homicide detectives and the Columbus police dive team responded to a report of possible human remains near the quarry at the rear of 75 Lawn Avenue at approximately 9:00 a.m., homicide unti Sgt. Jeff Strayer said.
They recovered what appears to be human remains, but no identification had been made as of early Tuesday and further investigation would await the outcome of the Franklin County Coroner’s inquiry.
