COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus police say a man whose body was found in a grassy area on the South Side Saturday was the victim of a murder.
A coroner’s report shows Mohammed Hossain, 44, had been shot, Homicide Unit Det. Tim Welsh said.
Hossain’s body was found just before 7:00 p.m. Saturday near a wooded area at the rear of 2485 Watkins Road, Welsh said.
During processing at the Franklin County Coroner’s office, Welsh says investigators determined Hossain had been shot, making him the 26th homicide victim in Columbus in 2014.
