COLUMBUS – The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that a body recovered from the Muskingum River last month was that of a teenager who disappeared while swimming a week earlier.
Narayan Darnal, 15, was reported missing from the area of Honey Run Falls on the Kokosing River on June 11 and efforts to find him were suspended three days later after divers, K9’s and searchers in boats failed to recover his body, Sheriff David Shaffer said.
The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office recovered a body from the Muskingum River in Dresden on June 18 and Shaffer says Muskingum County Coroner Charles Feight confirmed through DNA testing and other factors that the body was that of the teen.
