COLUMBUS, Ohio – As they try to keep their foot on the gas into the playoff stretch, the Blue Jackets welcome back Jared Boll, who has missed 45 games after suffering a torn tendon in his ankle in late-November.
Boll was activated off injured reserve on Wednesday, in time for tonight’s game at Montreal (7:30 p.m./ FOX Sports Ohio), general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said. Though he will travel, Boll is not expected to skate against the Canadiens.
He scored a goal and recorded 38 penalty minutes in 21 games this season.
Boll is one of six players to play in 400 or more games as a Blue Jacket and ranks second to Jody Shelley on the club’s all-time penalty minutes list with 1,001 minutes in the box.
