Bosa named unanimous All-American

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sophomore defensive end Joey Bosa became the first Ohio State football player in seven years to win the honor of being named a unanimous All-American.

The Football Writers Association of America tonight included Joey Bosa on its first-team All-America squad, giving him the sweep of the five organizations that combine to recognize consensus All-Americans. He had already been named a first-team All-American by the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the American Football Coaches Association and The Sporting News.

He is the first Buckeye to be named a unanimous All-American since James Laurinaitis in 2007.

Bosa is a finalist for the Lombardi Trophy, the Bednarik Award and the Ted Hendricks Award. He hasr recorded 50 tackles, including Big Ten-leading numbers in TFLs (20) and sacks (13.5).
