COLUMBUS – A 15-year-old boy is facing charges after police say he fired a gun at a Columbus City Schools bus on the East Side Thursday afternoon.

The bus was carrying about 10 students and the driver from Columbus Africentric High School, according to a report by WBNS 10-TV, when the teen allegedly fired at least one shot at it near the intersection of N. Monroe and Mt. Vernon Avenues at approximately 3:06 p.m., according to investigators from the Assault Unit.
The teenager was apprehended at a nearby residence and charged with felonious assault. Police say the investigation is continuing and the boy may face additional charges.
No injuries were reported.
