Braves 6, Clippers 2

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Clippers saw their five-game winning streak come to an abrupt end in a 6-2 loss to the Gwinnett Braves at Coolray Field Sunday.

Lucas Sims (4-0) struck out 10 Clippers over 6 2/3 scoreless innings while his teammates contributed 14 base hits to the cause.

The Clippers failed to score until the ninth inning when they plated two runs, too little too late.

Michael Peoples (1-1) took the loss for the Clippers who return home for a five-game series against Indianapolis starting Monday night at 6:35 p.m.
