Break for Buckeye season ticket buyers

COLUMBUS – Ohio State football fans got a bit of good news Thursday when ticket prices for the 2018 season were proposed.

Season ticket holders for the 2018 football season would pay $639, an 8 percent drop from this year’s price, according to a report in the Columbus Dispatch.

Next year’s game against the University of Michigan on Nov. 24 will cost fans the most, at $197 per ticket, while the Nov. 3 Nebraska game will cost $120.

The cheapest-priced ticket will be for the Tulane game on Sept. 22, costing fans $67.

The Buckeyes return to Kinnick Stadium for the first time since 2010 and the two teams are meeting for the first time since Ohio State beat the Hawkeyes, 34-24, in 2013.

Ohio State is coming off an emotional come-from-behind victory over Penn State, led by quarterback J.T. Barrett’s 423-yard performance.

Iowa is averaging 354.9 yards per game of total offense while giving up 368.8 yards and 25 points though eight games.

This will be the 65th meeting between the two teams in a series which dates back to 1922. Ohio State leads the series 46-14-3 and has won 12 of the last 13 games.
