CINCINNATI (AP) — Domingo Santana’s double drove in the go-ahead runs in the seventh inning and led the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 victory over the Reds.
Left-hander Josh Hader finished it off with one of the most dominant relief appearances in major league history.
Hader became the first pitcher to strike out eight batters in an outing of less than three innings, fanning eight of the nine batters he faced. He allowed only an eighth-inning walk to Tucker Barnhardt.
