COLUMBUS – Fans will be back in Ohio Stadium this fall but things will be different at Buckeye home games during the 2021 football season.
Masks will be required in all interior public spaces, including the Huntington Club, restrooms and the press box, though they are not required for outdoor spaces, such as gates, concourses, concession stands and the seating bowl.
Visitors to all Ohio State campuses and medical facilities are required to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status and masks are required outdoors for unvaccinated individuals.
Gates into the 102,329-seat Horseshoe will be equipped with 120 ticket pedestals where fans will enter by scanning their ticket from their mobile devices.
The entry gates will also be equipped with the latest technology in walk-through metal detectors that guests will need to pass through, meaning they will not need to empty their pockets unless instructed by stadium security.
The first home game of the 2021 season is Sept. 11 when the No 12 Oregon Ducks come to Columbus.
