Browns end season with win over Bengals

CLEVELAND (AP) — Case Keenum got his second win filling in for Baker Mayfield as the Browns ended their dismal season with a 21-16 win over the playoff-bound Bengals.

Keenum threw touchdown passes to Jarvis Landry and Demetric Felton as the Browns completed a sweep of the surprising AFC North champion Bengals.

D’Ernest Johnson rushed for 114 yards.

The Bengals played backups with QB Joe Burrow staying in Cincinnati getting treatment on a sore right knee so he’s ready for the playoffs next week.

The Bengals will host Las Vegas next Saturday.

Mayfield watched Cleveland’s season-finale win from the sideline, which was a fitting spot for his broken season.

It was an anticlimactic ending for Mayfield, whose attempt to play through injuries all season led to inconsistency and has left his future with the Browns open for interpretation.

Mayfield will undergo shoulder surgery on Jan. 19, and on Friday had his exit meeting with coach Kevin Stefanski to discuss a season that didn’t go their way and how to improve moving forward.

Stefanski said Mayfield left on a positive note, but wouldn’t address whether he’ll be Cleveland’s starter next season.
