CLEVELAND (AP) — The Browns have signed top overall draft pick Baker Mayfield to his rookie contract.
Cleveland.com reports the four-year contract is worth $32.68 million.
The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback from Oklahoma signed a day before Cleveland’s players are due to report to training camp and avoided being a holdout.
Mayfield is not expected to start in his first season as the Browns intend to play Tyrod Taylor, who led Buffalo to the playoffs last season.
