COLUMBUS (AP) — No. 10/9 Ohio State expects to take another confidence-building step when Maryland comes to town Saturday.
The Buckeyes have gotten progressively better since a week-two loss to Oklahoma, although they won’t be seriously tested until they host No. 4 Penn State Oct. 28.
Maryland, which lost to Ohio State 62-3 last year, is improved. The Terps beat Texas in their opener and topped previously unbeaten Minnesota in a shootout last week.
