BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — C.J. Stroud threw four touchdown passes and TreVeyon Henderson scored three times to help No. 5 Ohio State rout Indiana 54-7.

The Buckeyes (6-1, 4-0 Big Ten) have won five straight overall and 25 in a row in Big Ten play.

They also extended the nation’s longest active winning streak against one team to 26 consecutive games.

The Buckeyes have not lost to Indiana since consecutive losses in 1987 and 1988.

After Henderson broke a 7-all tie with a 21-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter, the short-handed Hoosiers (2-5, 0-4) never had a chance.

Ohio State scored the last 47 points, and coach Ryan Day pulled his starters after three quarters.

OSU scored touchdowns on its first six possessions, extending a run of 19 consecutive possessions that ended with a touchdown with Stroud at quarterback, dating back to a 52-13 win over Rutgers on Oct. 2.

Stroud finished 21 of 28 for 266 yards with four touchdown passes and has thrown no interceptions. The freshman has thrown 14 touchdowns with no interceptions the last three games.

Three Buckeyes took steps toward setting new school records.

Henderson’s three first-half touchdowns left him with 14 on the season, four short of the freshman record for most TDs, set by Maurice Clarett in 2002.

Senior Chris Olave now has 30 career touchdown receptions, moving him into a tie for second place with Devin Smith and to within four of the school record of 34 by David Boston.

Two touchdown catches by Jeremy Ruckert gives him 11 for his career, within two of Jake Stoneburner’s record for touchdowns by a tight end at Ohio State.

Defensively, the Buckeyes had five sacks and 13 tackles for loss in a dominating performance.

Next Saturday, Ohio State welcomes Penn State, which was upset by Illinois in college football’s first nine-overtime game, for a prime time game at 7:30 p.m.
