COLUMBUS, Ohio – Without playing a game, the Buckeyes moved two different directions in two different college football polls.
After a bye week, Ohio State moved up one spot to No. 22 in the AP Top 25 and fell two spots to No. 18 in the USA Today coaches’ poll.
The Buckeyes welcome Cincinnati to Ohio Stadium this Saturday (6:00p.m./BTN).
Florida State remains No. 1 in both polls after escaping with a 23-17 overtime win against visiting Clemson.
Oregon was No. 2 in the AP followed by Alabama, Oklahoma and Auburn in the top five.
The Crimson Tide was in the second spot in the coaches poll, with Oklahoma, Oregon and Auburn rounding out the top five.
