Buckeyes look to husk Nebraska

COLUMBUS – The spotlight game in the Big Ten this week is once again in Lincoln, where Ohio State faces the downtrodden Cornhuskers.

No. 9/10 Ohio St. (5-1, 3-0) at Nebraska (3-3, 2-1) at Memorial Stadium, Lincoln, Neb.; Sat., 7:30 p.m./FS1

The Buckeyes have rolled over their last two conference foes by a combined score of 118-14.

Senior QB J.T. Barrett completed 20 of 31 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns while J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber each reached the end zone to lead an offensive attack that produced 584 total yards in Ohio State’s 62-14 drubbing of Maryland last Saturday.

The 66 total yards allowed against Maryland was the lowest output against a Big Ten opponent since 1960 but miscues by Buckeye special teams left head coach Urban Meyer and fans shaking their heads (or holding them in their hands).

Nebraska is coming off a 38-17 loss to Wisconsin, and the Huskers need to shore up their run defense after getting run over in the second half to the Badgers.

Ohio State leads the all-time series between the two legendary programs with the only loss coming at Memorial Stadium, a 34-27 come-from-behind win for the Cornhuskers.
