Buckeyes/Sooners kick off under the lights

COLUMBUS – The Buckeyes now have a fifth night game during the 2016 football season.

The Big 12 announced Wednesday that the Sept. 17 game against Oklahoma at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time on FOX.

Ohio State will also play night games against Wisconsin, Penn State, Northwestern and Nebraska this season with Wisconsin and Penn State on the road.

Ohio State and Oklahoma have played only twice previously. The first game was in 1977 in Ohio Stadium, a 29-28 loss to the Sooners as Uwe von Schamann kicked a 41-yard field goal with three seconds remaining. Ohio State then won in Norman in 1983, 24-14.
