According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, 350 children under the age of five drown in pools each year nationwide, the majority in June, July and August and mostly in backyard pools.
Karen and Brian Cohn founded The ZAC Foundation in 2008 after the loss of their son Zachary when he drowned as a result of being entrapped in the suction of a swimming pool drain.
