COLUMBUS, Ohio – Streets begin to close Friday afternoon in preparation for the Capital City Half Marathon and 5K Saturday morning.
The races begin at 8:00 a.m. on Front Street. Click here for the routes.
Street closures will be in place beforehand and rolling closures will be in place along the routes.
Organizers remind motorists to plan for delays, consider alternate routes and watch for closures and pedestrians. There will be special duty officers directing traffic along the routes.
Participants and guests are encouraged to carpool or use COTA to reduce congestion and parking delays.
Road Closures Friday to mid-day Saturday:
E. Town Street from S. Third Street to the Columbus Commons Garage (5:00 p.m. Friday – 2:00 p.m. Saturday)
S. High Street from Rich Street to State Street (7:00 p.m. Friday – 2:00 p.m. Saturday)
E. State Street from S. High Street to S. Third Street (7:00 p.m. Friday – 2:00 p.m. Saturday)
S. Front Street from W. Rich Street to W. Broad Street to (7:00 p.m. Friday – 11:00 a.m. Saturday)
Expect rolling closures along race routes, especially at the beginning of each race.
