Car Show underway

COLUMBUS Ohio – Organizers turned the key on the 2014 Columbus International Auto Show, where more than 40 carmakers will display their exotic concept cars and new versions of old favorites alongside classic vehicles and central Ohio’s “ugliest” car during the Greater Columbus Convention Center this weekend.

Forty-one vehicle manufacturers are setting up displays at the show, from Chevy and Ford to Ferrari, Lotus and Rolls-Royce.

“We’ll have two ride & drives, with Mazda and RAM. Ryan Shazier and Bobby Carpenter will be here, and Buckeyes will love that,” Marie Gilman of the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association said.

Show hours and other attractions.

Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the show. Student admission is $5 with presentation of a school ID. Children 9 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult paying admission. Seniors age 55 and older are celebrated on Friday from noon to 5:00 p.m. with $5 admission.

Attractions include the Infiniti Red Bull RB10 Formula One race car, a 50th anniversary Ford Mustang display, a NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevy Camaro show car and racing simulator and more than 20 classic cars.

Guests will be able to vote for the Ugliest Car in Columbus, whose owner will win a 2014 Honda Civic.
