CLEVELAND – The Cavaliers managed to avoid their sixth loss in seven games by overcoming a great performance by Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Kevin Love scored a season-high 32 points and had 16 rebounds as the Cavs downed the visiting Bucks 124-119. Love appeared at full strength after he was briefly hospitalized following Sunday’s loss to the Hawks.
LeBron James had 30 points and J.R. Smith found his shooting touch while scoring a season-best 20 points for the Cavaliers. James hit a pair of baskets and two free throws down the stretch to help Cleveland improve to 5-6.
Antetokounmpo finished with 40 points on 16 of 21 shooting and contributed nine rebounds and eight turnovers before fouling out with 18 seconds left.
