Cavs 91, Heat 89

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cavaliers beat the Miami Heat 91-89 in their first game since All-Star Kevin Love was injured.

LeBron James scored 24 points, Jae Crowder made a crucial 3-pointer with 1:21 left and Channing Frye added 16 points for the Cavs, who were coming off a troubling loss in Detroit on Tuesday when Love broke his left hand.

Goran Dragic scored 18 to lead the Heat, who missed 25 3-pointers.

Love’s broken hand has brought bigger pain to the crumbling Cavaliers.

The All-Star forward could be out two months with the injury sustained in the first quarter on Tuesday in Detroit.

The Cavs said Love and the team’s medical staff are consulting with surgical specialists in New York on treatment.

It’s still not known how long he’ll be sidelined.
