TORONTO (AP) — Artemi Panarin scored 3:11 into overtime to help the Blue Jackets overcome a two-goal deficit and beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-2.
Panarin took a pass off his skate and kicked it to his stick for the winner.
Nick Foligno and Pierre-Luc Dubois scored in regulation for the Blue Jackets, who trailed 2-0 with less than five minutes to play in regulation before storming back.
Sergei Bobrovsky made 35 saves.
Blue Jackets defenseman David Savard has been fined the maximum $5,000 for slashing Florida Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck in the third period of Sunday’s game in Columbus. Video shows Savard coming down hard with his stick on Trocheck’s hands.
