COLUMBUS – The Blue Jackets will kick off their 15th NHL season with a home-and-home series against the New York Rangers, starting with the season opener Oct. 9 at Nationwide Arena.

The Metropolitan Division rivals will then face off at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 10.
December will be the club’s busiest month with 14 games, while March features eight home games.
The Blue Jackets are coming off a season in which they finished 42-35-5, including posting the sixth-best record in the NHL from Dec. 1 through the end of the season at 36-20-3.
Columbus has posted back-to-back 40-win campaigns and three straight winning seasons for the first time in franchise history.
