COLUMBUS (AP) — The Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Zach Werenski to a three-year contract worth $15 million.
Werenski had been a restricted free agent.
One of the team’s priorities was to get him re-signed before camp opens.
Werenski and defenseman Seth Jones have teamed to give Columbus one of the best blue-line pairings in the NHL. He finished last season with 11 goals and 33 assists.
