BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Celtics beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 96-83 and take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference finals.
Rookie Jayson Tatum scored 24 points and Al Horford had 15 points and 12 rebounds to help Boston.
The Celtics remained perfect in Boston this postseason with their 10th straight victory at home and moved within one win of their first trip to the NBA Finals since 2010.
LeBron James contributed team highs of 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers, while Kevin Love finished with 14 points. The rest of Cleveland’s starters contributed just 10 points.
Game 6 is Friday at Cleveland.
