COLUMBUS – Cheryl’s is throwing open the doors of its flagship store in Westerville Saturday morning with prizes, samples and demonstrations all day.
Cheryl’s retail store grand opening: 646 McCorkle Boulevard, Westerville 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will feature Westerville Mayor Diane Fosselman and members of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Festivities throughout the day will include free samples of Cheryl’s baked goods, sneak peeks at the newest products, the chance to win 12 cookies each month for a year, kids’ activities, appearances by cookie and brownie mascots, and cookie frosting demonstrations.
Company officials say the flagship retail store is the final phase of an expansion project that began in February 2014 with groundbreaking on a larger production plant.
“Our expansion will add approximately 100 jobs over the next three years. And, as we add equipment, it will allow us to double our food production capacity over the next five years” said general manager Bob Happel.
The 3,000-square-foot store includes a broader display of products and a party room for birthday parties, educational classes and holiday celebrations, Happel said.
