COLUMBUS – Columbus police say two small children drowned Friday night in a pool at an East Side home.
Officers and Firefighters called to the 1900 block of Walnut Hill Park just before 8:30 p.m. on a report of a drowning found Prince Deer, 2, and Victoria Deer, 4, unresponsive, Sgt. James Marable of the Homicide Unit said.
Both children were reportedly playing near a swimming pool.
Prince to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:11 p.m. and Victoria was taken to Mount Carmel East, where she was pronounced deceased at 9:24 o.m., Marable said.
