Nationwide Children’s Hospital and OhioHealth will add separate round-the-clock, seven-day-a week emergency departments to their shared health center located on Pacer Drive, just north of Orange Road in Orange Township, the two hospitals announced Wednesday.

The Nationwide Children’s Pediatric Emergency Department for children and adolescents is staffed by specialists in emergency medicine, pediatric advanced life support and resuscitation and a radiology facility including X-ray and ultrasound, said Patty McClimon, Nationwide Children’s senior vice president of Strategic and Facilities Planning.

The OhioHealth Emergency Care Center features services and procedures offered by traditional hospital emergency departments, plus eight private patient rooms, resuscitation and triage rooms and advanced imaging capabilities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, said Steve Markovich, MD, OhioHealth senior vice president for central Ohio operations

The second floor of the shared building houses the 20th Nationwide Children’s Hospital Close To Home Center and the third floor is home to the OhioHealth Lewis Center Health Center, both of which opened in October.
