COLUMBUS – Brayan Rocchio’s solo home run in the first inning accounted for all the scoring in the Clippers’ 1-0 win over the Iowa Cubs Sunday at Huntington Park.
Carlos Vargas (1-0) and two other Columbus pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts to earn the Clippers a doubleheader split after the Cubs scored three runs in the seventh to win the first game, rescheduled from the previous day due to rain, 5-3.
