Clippers 10, IronPigs 2

COLUMBUS – The Clippers exploded for six runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning on the way to a 10-2 win over Lehigh Valley Wednesday night at Huntington Park in front of a crowd of 6,316.

Most of the scoring came from an Adam Moore three-run home run to right-center and a two-run double by Michael Martinez but the IronPigs helped out with a couple of errors and a wild pitch from starter Mark Appel that gave Martinez the chance to score from third.

Columbus will go for the sweep in the four-game series in an 11:05 a.m. business day special on Thursday.
