COLUMBUS – Adam Wilk’s dominating performance helped the Clippers crush Toledo, 11-1, Monday night at Fifth Third Field.
Wilks (3-6) struck out seven hitters and gave up the Mud Hens’ only run in his seven innings of work.
Although he didn’t really need it, Wilks got plenty of offensive support, including a three-run home run from Nellie Rodriguez in the third inning and a two-run blast from Adam Rosales in the ninth. Eric Haase went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI and scored three runs.
The two teams play the third game of their four-game series Tuesday night.
