COLUMBUS – The Clippers turned on the offense for a second straight night, beating Norfolk 11-4 in the second game of a three-game series.
Designated hitter Daniel Johnson led the way, hitting a solo home run and scoring four runs as Tyler Naquin and Eric Haase added homers in the Clippers’ four-run fifth inning.
Tides starter Josh Rogers (2-5) gave up nine runs on nine hits in less than five innings.
Adam Plutko (1-2) was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, picking up his first win of the season.
The two teams conclude their series at Harbor Park Thursday.
