Clippers 12, Mud Hens 2

COLUMBUS – The Clippers jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never looked back in a 12-2 win over the Mud Hens in Toledo Monday night.

Ryan Flaherty went 3-for-5 for Columbus with five RBI and Brandon Barnes added a solo homer as part of the Clippers’ 17-hit attack.

Starter Tanner Tully (1-0) got the benefit of the offensive outburst, picking up his first win of the season while Kyle Funkhouser (1-4) took the loss after getting hammered for seven runs in less than two innings.

The two teams resume their three-game series Tuesday night at Fifth Third Field.
