OMAHA – Alex Call hit a two-run home run to cap the Clippers’ eight-run fifth inning as the Clippers beat the Storm Chasers, 12-3, at Omaha’s Werner Park Friday.
Kevin Herget (7-3) pitched two shutout innings in relief to get the win.
Ryan Lavarnway and Oscar Gonzalez hit solo homers for Columbus in the fourth. They also drove in three runs and scored twice in the fifth.
