COLUMBUS – The Clippers continued to feast on Norfolk pitching, banging out 14 hits in a 12-5 win Thursday for a sweep of the three-game series at Harbor Park.
Columbus hitters outscored the Tides 32-11 during the series, racking up 43 hits in the process.
They hit four home runs Thursday, including one from Tyler Naquin, who is on a rehab assignment from Cleveland and hit homers in consecutive games. Trayce Thompson, Mark Mathias and Ryan Flaherty added home runs.
Asher Wojciechowski (5-1) got the win for Columbus while Luis Ysla (2-3) took the loss for the Tides.
The Clippers move on to Durham for a four-game weekend series against the Bulls.
