Clippers 14, Mud Hens 3

COLUMBUS – The Clippers unleashed a barrage of runs to beat Toledo Thursday night and avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Mud Hens.

Three-run home runs by Nellie Rodriguez and Eric Stamets highlighted a 16-hit attack that powered Columbus to a 14-3 win at Huntington Park.

Tanner Tully (1-0) scattered 8 hits over 7 innings to earn his first win of the season. Daniel Norris (0-4) took the loss for Toledo.
