COLUMBUS – Eric Haase’s two-run home run in the ninth gave the Clippers a 2-1 win over the Bulls in Durham Sunday.
The win enabled Columbus to take two games out of the rain-shortened three-game series.
Asher Wojciehowski pitched effectively through six innings of 4-hit ball but failed to get the decision as Henry Martinez (2-1) got the benefit of Hasse’s blast but gave up the tying run on an RBI single by the Bulls’ Nate Lowe in the eighth.
Cole Sulser (0-1) served up the homer and took the loss.
The Clippers continue their road trip with a four-game series in Louisville starting Monday.
