COLUMBUS – Nellie Rodriguez’s leadoff homer in the top of the 13th inning gave the Clippers a 3-2 win over the Bats in Louisville to open their 2017 season.
Alejandro Chacin, who gave up Rodriguez’s line drive dinger to right center field, took the loss.
Tyler Olson got the win and Jeff Johnson notched the save for Columbus who play their home opener at Huntington Park on April 13.
