Clippers 3, Red Sox 1

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers beat the Pawtucket Red Sox 3-1 Tuesday afternoon, taking three out of four games at McCoy Stadium.

All three of the Columbus runs came on solo homers, two by new Clipper Dusty Brown, signed by the Indians earlier in the day.

Zach McAllister (6-0) got the win for Columbus while Miguel Celestino (0-2) took the loss in relief for the Red Sox.

Brown gave the Clippers a 2-1 lead in the seventh inning with his second homer of the game and Jesus Aguilar homered to give Columbus a 3-1 lead in the eighth. It was his team-leading 15th home run of the season.

The Clippers have a scheduled off day Wednesday before traveling to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Thursday to begin a four-game series with the RailRiders.
