Clippers 3, Tides 2 (10)

COLUMBUS – A walkoff RBI single by Francisco Mejia in the tenth inning gave the Clippers a 3-2 win over the Norfolk Tides in game two of a three-game series at Huntington Park.

Columbus grabbed a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second but Norfolk got to Clippers starter Shane Bieber once more in the fourth, tying the game on a Mike Yastrzemski RBI single.

Mejia’s bases-loaded two-out single Matt Witherspoon (2-4) won the game.

Ben Taylor (2-1) pitched two innings of shutout ball, striking out three, to get the win

The Clippers and Tides will meet up for game three Thursday afternoon for the series finale at 12:05.
