COLUMBUS – The Clippers knocked off the Charlotte Knights 4-3 Sunday to win a four-game series at Huntington Park, 3-1.
The score was tied in the bottom of the 8th inning when Eric Haase lifted a two-run homer over the left field wall to put Columbus ahead to stay.
Luke Eubank allowed one run on a sacrifice fly in the ninth, but then closed the door for his first save of the season.
Neil Ramirez (2-0) pitched two innings in relief to get the win for Columbus.
Juan Minaya (0-2) was saddled with the loss for the Knights.
The Clippers will travel to Toledo Monday to face off against the league leading Mud Hens for four games, starting at 6:35 p.m.
