COLUMBUS – Clippers pitchers held the Mud Hens to just four hits on the way to a 4-1 win in the finale of a four-game series at Huntington Park Sunday.
Richie Shaffer’s three-run home run in the fourth inning put the Clippers on top to stay.
Jarrett Grube (3-3) got the win for the Clippers, throwing 6 1/3 strong innings, allowing just the one run on three hits, with five strikeouts.
Anthony Vasquez (2-5) took the loss for Toledo.
The Clippers won three of the four games in the series. Friday night’s game was rained out.
The Clippers begin an eight-game road trip in Charlotte Monday night.
