Clippers 5, Bats 3

COLUMBUS – Back-to-back RBI doubles by Greg Allen and Yandy Diaz keyed a four-run sixth inning for the Clippers as they won the second game of a three-game series with Louisville, 5-3, Tuesday night.

The Bats took a 3-0 lead into the inning but Allen brought Todd Hankins around from first base on a double to center field off losing pitcher Justin Nicolino (3-5), then scored on Diaz’s double to right.

Brandon Barnes went 2-for-4 with two RBI for Columbus.

Mitch Talbot (2-2) got the win for the Clippers who host the third game of the series Wednesday night.
