Clippers 5, Bisons 4

COLUMBUS – A pair of fielding errors with the game tied in the ninth inning allowed the Clippers to edge out Buffalo, 5-4, to avoid a three-game sweep by the Bisons.

Columbus tied the game up at 4-4 on a Ronny Rodriguez home run in the bottom of the seventh and it remained tied in the bottom of the ninth.

With two out, Daniel Robertson reached second base on an error by Buffalo left fielder Michael Saunders and scored on a bad throw by shortstop Gregorio Petit.

Kyle Crockett (3-3) pitched the ninth inning for the Clippers and was the beneficiary of the Buffalo miscues. Griffin Glaude (0-1) took the loss for Buffalo.

The Clippers open a four-game series with Syracuse with a doubleheader Thursday. Game one begins at 5:35 p.m.
