COLUMBUS – Eric Haase’s solo home run to left field in the top of the ninth inning broke a 4-4 tie and gave the Clippers a win in the final game of a four-game series in Durham.
The pinch-hit homer was Haase’s 16th of the season and came off losing pitcher Mike Franco (3-3).
Eric Stamets’s two-run homer in the fourth had given Columbus a 4-0 lead which the Bulls wiped out with four runs in the bottom if the inning.
Tyler Olson (2-1) got the victory and Ben Taylor pitched the game’s final out for his ninth save.
The Clippers travel to Norfolk Friday night to begin a three-game series.
