COLUMBUS – The Clippers finished a three-game sweep of Lehigh Valley with a 5-2 win Wednesday night.
DH Joey Butler went 3-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run and Michael Choice hit a homer as Columbus took a 5-0 lead into the bottom of the 6th inning.
Columbus starter Mike Clevinger (8-0) allowed one run on six hits to go along with a walk and six strikeouts in six innings of work.
The Clippers begin a four-game series in Pawtucket Thursday night and return home for a 4th of July game against Toledo (7:05 p.m.).
