CHARLOTTE – Clippers starter Shawn Morimando tossed a complete game shutout for a win in game two of their four-game series against the Charlotte Knights at BB&T Ballpark.

Morimando (7-5) allowed just five hits and struck-out 12 batters on the night.

The Clippers scored a run in five different innings, highlighted by solo home runs by Ronny and Nellie Rodriguez, who went 2 for 3 with two RBI.

Lucas Giolito (2-7) took the loss for Charlotte.

The two teams continue the series Wednesday night.
