COLUMBUS – Less than a month after playing 16 innings to finish a series at McCoy Stadium, the Clippers and Pawtucket Red Sox played extras again at Huntington Park to open a four game series Thursday night.
A bases loaded walk to Jesus Aguilar in the bottom of the 14th inning was the difference after four hours and 21 minutes of baseball, as the Clippers walked off winners by a final score of 5-4.
Tyler Olson (2-2) earned the win for Columbus while Kyle Martin (3-4) suffered the loss for Pawtucket.
The two teams will battle again Friday night at 7:15 p.m.
